A Week in the Life

prompt # 22 Write a poem that takes readers through a week in your life

Monday Mornings- sleep in late
wake to the sound of laughter and play
fast forward to a writing date
girly giggles on the couch

Tuesdays I write, homeschool, read
let my mind grow full
plant the knowledge seed
end in cuddles of some kind

Sometimes on Wednesday
I feel like all I do is drive
Sometimes I try to get away
But end the evening in the arms of family

Thursdays are made for peace
simple, drifting days
Where my body languishes with ease
Yeah, Thursdays are meant from lemonade

Finally the weekend appears
and with it my darling daughter’s eyes
Here, there is no room for fears
All is as it should be
