Poem Challenge 16

Quatrains part 3

Think about the outdoors after it rains.

Splash! In the rain puddles
Go wild, barefoot on the wet sidewalk
Rain water up to my calves
I sing as I play

Step into the damp grass
everything gone soft in the rain
Everything a more vibrant green
Breathe in the unique Earthy scent

Summer rain, strange in July
West coast burns in drought
East coast drowns in storm
In the middle, our green life.
